Perfectionist vs optimalist

Perfectionist vs optimalist

Optimalism: even more perfect A perfectionist attitude can hamper the traction needed in a transformational situation. While it's important to raise standards and ambitions, a subtle attitude shift from perfectionism to optimalism can unleash more momentum. Here are some actionable steps to cultivate a more Optimalist mindset:

  • Set time limits for tasks and responsibilities, optimizing within those limits. I like the phrase: ‘I work hard, but not long’. • Deliberately do or learn something new on a regular basis, where like everybody, in the beginning you have to learn and adapt to master it • Focus not only on arriving at a specific goal, but try to find fulfilment in the journey itself. • Redefine failure as feedback and view it as a necessary part of the path toward success. • Expect bumps in the road, and when they arise, adapt, correct, and move forward. • Seek out potential benefits in any situation. ..although, don’t be a perfectionst in becoming an optimalist. ...meer
